 Description:  The Governors Pension Commission was mandated by Governor Rod Blagojevich to review the financial condition of the State of Illinois Retirement Systems and make recommendations focused on improving the Systems financial condition and affordability. This report includes the specific recommendations for changes to State pension plan provisions and pension funding which were developed by the Commission in order to ameliorate the Retirement Systems poor financial status.
